BEM-VINDO AO RIO DE JANEIRO
You're not required to arrive at a specific time on Day 1 since it's a free day - Check-in at your accommodation starts at 2 pm.
The minute you set foot on Brazilian soil, you’ll feel a rush of adrenaline race through your veins. Even your body knows you’ve arrived at one of the most sought after cities in the world. There will be plenty of times to explore the city on your own, but first, our guide will take you around and introduce you to some nearby spots. Roam the busy streets of the Marvelous City or eat some acai as you watch the sun go down on the mountains that resulted from the South American continent breaking off from Africa.
Hike to Christ The Redeemer
After breakfast, we’re heading to the summit of Crocovado with the cable car, where we can enjoy the sight of the Christ Redeemer statue inside Tijuca national park. Later, we'll head to a nearby hike trail where we can take a short hike for another bird eye view of Rio!
Like a Carioca!
Like any other major city in the world, Rio is splendidly riddled with the most breathtaking scenery. We’ll have the option to either spend the day on the famous Copacabana beach among the local Carioca, or you have the option to start the day with the optional skydiving.
After that, we’ll head to the historical and cultural part of the city for our Guided City Tour. Later we'll head to one of the most beautiful spots to engage with other Cariocas in saluting the sun as it's setting!
Off to Ilha Grande
Today we say goodbye to Rio and get on our way to Ilha Grande. We’ll enjoy the scenery of the famous costa verde on our way to Angra Dos reis where we’ll take a boat to our home for the next 3 days.
Today, we’re taking our private boat for a tour around the island and some beach hopping around the beautiful many private spots!
Nature needs to be appreciated, and today we’ll do just that, at one of the island’s most beautiful beaches: Lopes Mendes. We’ll take a boat to Pouso beach before starting our jungle hike to Lopes Mendes. Once we got there, we’ll spend some time by the beach where we have the option of taking an optional surfing class.
Ilha Grande - Angra dos Reis - Paraty
Swimming in the ocean is great and all, but swimming in a wild waterfall is out of this world. Today, after leaving Ilha Grande for Paraty, we’ll have the time to explore this beautiful town for some local products shopping and embracing the beauty of its colonial architecture.
Today, we will head to the Waterfalls Trek Tour and before you know it you’ll be taking that adrenaline-pumping leap into the cool waters. We hike and hop between each waterfall and the next one while engaging in some waterfall slides and cliff jumping in the middle!
Off to Sao Paulo!
After breakfast, we have some free time for leisure before checking out from our accommodation. We'll head to our next destination: Sao paulo! As soon as we check into our hotel we'll have some free time to explore the different parts of this bustling city!
Unfortunately, every adventure has to come to an end! We'll have to say our goodbyes to Brazil!

Adventure Leader Description
The Adventure Leader's mission is to make sure you have a smooth experience and to help you have the best experience possible. They will offer recommendations for things to do and see, great local eating venues and help the group interact and get to know each others (most of the time this actually happens on its own). While not being guides in the traditional sense you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the countries visited. We also use local guides where we think more specific knowledge is needed.
Average: 20 pax
Food is an essential part of traveling. Traveling with Gazef we try as much as we can to help you experience the different kinds of food available in each destination. Our groups tend to eat together to enable you to enjoy each other's company. There is no obligation to do this at all times though. We usually leave out some of the meals excluded from the itinerary to give you the flexibility to choose what to eat based on your personal preference. It also gives you more budgeting flexibility. Your Adventure Leader will be able to suggest good restaurants during your trip. Vegetarians will be able to find a range of different foods.
Our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a mandatory single supplement unless requested. Single travellers joining group trips are paired in twin/triple accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip.
What to Pack
What you need to bring depends on the trip you have chosen and the countries or regions you are planning to visit. A Packing List will be sent to you as soon as you book the trip. We suggest that you pack as lightly as possible as your are expected to carry your own luggage. Suitcases are not recommended–most travellers carry a backpack or rolling bag of small to medium size (no XXL ones please!). You will also need a day pack/bag to carry water, cameras and other belongings.
Tipping is an expected, though not compulsory, component of your tour program. The gesture serves as an expression of appreciation for exceptional service, and amounts given are up to your discretion.
Tipping is one of the most direct ways that you can have a positive economic impact within the community. Although it may not be customary for you, it is an important source of income for those in the tourism industry. Giving a tip should be a seen as a formal 'thank you', and the action should in no way be awkward.
The power supply in Brazil is nominally Type C and N on 127/220V supply voltage and 60Hz.
