Overview

St. Catherine is renowned as the principal site of divine revelation in Jewish history, where God is purported to have appeared to Moses and given him the Ten Commandments above Moses mountain. The region is also sacred in both the Christian and Islamic traditions. Hiking the valleys of this area with its exotic rock formations, unique tribes and unlimited trails will take you on a journey to the core of your existence.

Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to St. Catherine

We start our hiking journey from the city of St. Catherine getting into Wadi Jebal or the Valley of the mountains through Abo Jiffy entrance. On the way we'll stop Ein Shkeya for a water break. Later, we continue hiking into Wadi Elshaq where we meet our first natural pool of the trail (season dependent) before passing by El zawatin garden until we reach our destination for the day - the secret garden. We'll spend the night around the bonfire beneath a million stars.

Day 2

El-Masabi and Bab Eldonya

After an early start for the day with a delicious bedouin breakfast, we start the trail by heading towards Abo Gasaba Valley. From there we start our way up until we reach El-Masabi mountain highest view point over the surrounding valleys. On a clear day you can see all the way till the Sinai coast. We head back down into Farsh Elaraneb making our way towards elnijila where we have our light lunch. Having had some rest we start our Bab Eldonya mountain hike which is one of the favorite ones in the region. After reaching the summit and getting enough of the view we head towards Wadi Elzaatar before reaching our final destination - Farsh Elromana garden.

Day 3

El Galt El Azraq

Today, we start the day with El Tebeq Trail going all the way to Sed Abo Hebeg which takes us all the way to El Galt El Azraq. This is where we meet our second natural pool of the trail (season dependent). The trail will take us a full circle all the way back to where we started our hike today at Farsh Elromana Garden. Today, we'll be hiking for a total of 12 kms.

Day 4

Back to City

After having our last mountain breakfast, we pack and start our journey back to St. Catherine City. The trail is a 9 km mostly flat one. The perfect way to bid farewell to these magical mountains.
