Day 1

Samuel Dunes

On our way to Fayoum, we'll make a pit stop at a local farm. We’ll be getting our hands dirty with some tomato picking, and we'll even whip up a simple breakfast together. Think foul, feteer, honey, tahini, and lots of cheese to top those tomatoes! Continuing our bus ride, we'll reach the starting point for our 4x4 safari into the vast expanse of Samuel Dunes. Get ready for some real duning! We'll explore El Wadi, Wadi El Bateekh, and Ghoroud Samuel. Test your balance while gliding down the sandy slopes. After our desert expedition, we'll return to camp for a traditional Bedouin dinner, embracing the serene atmosphere of the desert under the starlit sky.

FAQs

Will we have reliable cellphone network and internet connection throughout the trip? In the populated areas of Fayoum and at the camp site, you can typically rely on steady network connectivity. However, as you drive through the landscapes of Samuel Dunes, expect some inconsistencies in network connection. Certain remote parts within these desert may have limited or even no network coverage at all. Accordingly, anticipate periods where you might be disconnected.

If I want to opt for the self-camping experience, is there assistance available to help me with the tent setup? Yes, our suppliers are available to assist you with setting up your own tent if you choose the self-camping experience.
